I've tried to switch it on through the "Bluetooth" module in System Settings
but when you click the "On" button, it automatically changes to "Off" in a
second.

T
Christopher, is there a way to do all of these steps with the Live media
(without installing it) because I use the 12.04 LTS version now?

Oh, so I can test it under the 12.04 and there's no requirement to
install 13.10 in order to test it?

If you can write down the exact "Terminal" commands, there will be no
problem. I will execute them and upload the result. However, I do not
have time to read all this stuff and find out what exactly I should do.

Under 12.04 the problem does not occur, too.
No, I won't need a backport. Let we close it as "Invalid".
The Bluetooth is not working though. What bug should I file or we can
change the description of this one?

As of now I can confirm that the bug is more severe now (with the latest
Live ISO of Saucy). The wireless network card does not function anymore,
too. I can say only that there's a switch on/off button on the notebook
which is for switching them (the bluetooth adapter and the wireless
card) on/off
The wireless card is Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG.

Yes, it is present. I've checked it with the live saucy iso of today.
Two things I can make more precise about the bug:
1. If the wireless network card and the bluetooth adapter are turned on when
the computer starts, both of them are turned off and cannot be turned on again.
Even under Windows
Yep, the problem persists.
However, this time I've tested the latest kernel under 12.04 and
everything is the same except that the wireless card and the bluetooth
adapter can be reswitched on through the "System Settings".

I've tested the latest kernel (3.6.12rc2) under Ubuntu 12.04.
The previous time I've just tested the latest daily build of Saucy.
