Okey guys i solved this i am on kubuntu i was having the exact same
problem, now to the solution
Go in System Settings > Display and Monitor > Compositor and change Rendering
backend to xRender
if you still have the same problem get back into x.org/nouveau driver and thats
it.

Online resize with flex_bg was fixed in 2012 --- call with the v3.10
kernel or so.
Offline resize was fixed around that time (e2fsprogs 1.43), but there
have been some bugs with flex_bg and off-line resizing, so I'd recommend

I wanted to try out installing 18.04.1
After having the live mode started and opening the menu my laptop shutted down
suddenly and it is hot now.
Also it somehow messing up the fan. I have to restart from Windows to have it

Installed files from folder 1. Card is recognized, module r8169 loaded,
and is operational! I made some speed tests and all appears to be okay.
Also to note. I didn't have installed the linux-tools and linux-cloud-
tools packages (from repositories, not yours). So I needed to install
linux-tools-g
After a couple of weeks without issues, thanks to changing the v-sync in
compris, it is back and getting progressively worse.
Will try running system monitor and see if this helps.

$ cd linux
$ g
You testing is good, the first kernel should work fine. I will build one
more kernel soon and need your help to verify that. If the test result
