After 24h i can confirm that my solution is not stable. If i turn off
the machine the problem is back and this time is not speed in question
but the network manager that will "collapse".
Anyway, i can confirm that i can use the wifi card in any frequency, but
is not stable and will drop after boot

Hi, I had the same problem in Ubuntu 18.04 Beta2.
What I did was to find the bcmwl related tasks("ps aux|grep bcmwl") and
I found there was one something like "rmmod []bcmwl" blocked.
I killed it(sudo kill -9 [pid] and I could continue. Now I have upgrade
the system.

Same problem here with ubuntu gnome with kernels 4.13.0-37 and
4.13.0-38, while 4.13.0-36 and below boot. (HP Spectre x360 with intel

I tried linux-image-4.4.0-1021-kvm/xenial-proposed and
linux-image-4.4.0-120-generic/xenial-proposed.
But they didn't boot on my host well. I may try them on an another machine, if

been seeing that from time to time even in Artful and possibly before. I
assumed it was my hardware playing up, but seems like maybe not. At any
