I'm starting to think it isn't a software issue.
I tried to solve it again because it was becoming impossible to work, and
decided to install Ubuntu MATE 16.4.3 LTS (kernel 4.10.0-42-generic) because I
read some people had less problems with NVMe drives on that.
The problem persisted however.

I solved the same issue on Ubuntu 17.10 Acer Aspire E5. There is a repo with a
lot of BT Firmware ready to use:

It may be necessary to rename the file to make it work. You can find out with

I have somewhat similar behavior on Lenovo T470p with external
displayport monitor connected via Thinkpad Ultra Dock on stock Ubuntu
17.04 (4.10.0-42-generic x86_64), but in my case it occurs after some
days of plugging in&out and ends with kernel panic (see screen photo).

What can I do with Lenovo Y50-70 with Windows 10 Only? Ubuntu is
removed. I have secure boot enabled. Cannot boot from any option, tried
all of the boot possibilities. Luckily after "exit" from grub I'm able
to select Windows boot.

olekcz, hm, do you have _this_ UEFI issue? I suppose, (re-)flashing of
the last UEFI version (https://tinyurl.com/ycq52ba5) could solve the
problem, it's a Windows executable.

down-loadable. Not all the users read linux news and are aware of this bad bug.

Solution in post 294 fixed the problem on our (many) Lenovo G40-30
laptops. Everything back to normal. Right now, I am installing another
distro (Peppermint 8) until Ubuntu 17.10 iso is fixed.
Million thanks to those who fixed the issue without the need for any
hardware repair or replacement.
