Same thing WAS on Asus U31Sg with kernel 4.4.0-21. I don't have this issue on
4.4.0-22 or 4.6.0. On the 2nd or 3rd suspend it freezes, no response from
anything. All I can do is to hold power button to turn it off.

The Xenial test kernel with a pick of 4da2e26 resolves the bug, no
negative side effects were encountered.
With the Xenial release kernel, there were 18 MySQL server crashes in a
24 hour period due to false ENOSPC indications. With the test kernel,
not a single crash occured in a 24 hour period.

For a few weeks I have the same bug in Debian/stable: linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64
That kernel image is from 9th March.
I upgraded on April 4. dpkg log says 3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u4 3.16.7-ckt25-1

I do not recall that this was seen immediately after an update. The
machine has been running 14.04 (upgraded from 12.04) almost since 14.04
was released.
The anomaly was noticed only by chance; I was browsing the logs for
other information and simply happened to get

At times (mostly undetermined) when touching the glide pad to take an
action the cursor will jump to the left edge of the screen.
I do not recall the system ever taking ACTION based on the click at the new
