so I think it's some systemd handling which does that. LXC unshares the
mnt namespace which gets it a copy of the host's, then it's doing some
magic (rprivate I believe) to get things working under systemd, then
mounts what it needs, unmounts everything else and pivot_root.

Some more compréhension questions:
Cloning an ubuntu release kernel can be achived by
git clone git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-.git ?
Creating a build environment for ubuntu release kernels can be achived by
sudo apt-get build-d
I would have assumed systemd is on neither. Since it seems to be the
same all the way since Trusty (at least).

Wa! Finally after one week of work and investigate finally I can
poweron my HTPC (OrigenM10 with 15c2:0036 VFD+Remote). This annyioing
bug is very easy to fix. Edit your /etc/init.d/lirc file and change the
line:
DISABLE_KERNEL_SUPPORT=true
to
DISABLE_KERNEL_SUPPORT=false
