I think I already figured out what went wrong. I'm using Ubuntu on a
very old laptop with a non PAE Intel CPU. I found a workaround to enable
PAE. For each update I have to use this workaround again, otherwise
Ubuntu sees the CPU as non=PAE and installation fails. So it is not

Dual monitor works fin
So far seem more stable Larry. I still get periods where the network
connection stops for up to a minute, not sure if this is related, but no
crashes today. Fingers crossed, but things seem to be moving in the
right direction.

After activating skydome, I suppose, it worked like the following: It comes
