Small word of advice for HP probook users.
I replaced the wifi card with no problem. It accepted any one I tried and I
tried a lot including intel, atheros and ralink including two AC cards. Of
course all of those worked without any problems on ubuntu 14.04.

Can you please test the version in -proposed?
I dont have virsh handy in my environment, and kdump-tools is not quite
working here (I'll follow up internally).
(add the trusty-proposed repo as in comment #14, then reinstall the
package, if the dev version is still there)
