Am I understanding it correctly that the package script is trying to
create a symlink ( I am not that familiar with how Debian packages work,
so I haven't looked at it myself )? If this is the case, wouldn't it be
possible to fix this bug by not creating links on filesystems that don't
support them
This bug seems to still exist. Approximately every 3 -5th resume fail ->
forced to restart lightdm to get desktop.
Let me know if I can help to debug this, its quite annoying :)

NFS kernel server creates a kworke
While the boot parameter "i915.disable-pch_pwm=0" worked on ubuntu 12.04 with
kernel 3.8.0-35.50, it doesn't seem to work for me on ubuntu 14.04 with kernel
3.13.0-24.
I dual boot windows so I cannot enable legacy options rom.
Is there no other solution ?

I just had a look at the mentioned BIOS update and the following
functionality will be provided:
BIOS Version History: Current BIOS V. 1.15: Solved problems:
- Change CPU thermal management
- Disable SATA Aggressive Link Power.
- Fix Fan speed will always high after 3Dmark 11
as a workaround, manually running `update-initramfs -u` seems to fix the
broken symlink; needs to be done before 'apt-get upgrade'.
we're still seeing an "unknown initscript" error with libpam-systemd
which is messing up dpkg, but that's a matter for another ticket...

too (on an HP ProBook 450 G1), with Linux Mint 16 KDE (based on Ubuntu

I have the same problem in Ubuntu 13.10 when trying to connect to a
Creative D100 device.
The device connects successfully but the audio sink cannot be set:
"Connection Failed: Stream setup failed" message appears and the
following line appears in /var/log/syslog:

Suspend works just fine from GUI/command-line, as it always has. As of
14.04, suspend also works reliably upon closing the lid. Wake-from-
suspend does not work upon opening the lid. I have to press the power
button.
