I'm not really sure what a lot of this means and I have a lot to learn. From
what I've gathered the kernel is like the middle man between my OS and computer
hardware.
I read all of the info on the wiki.ubuntu link you provide, then downloaded the
most recent upstream kernel. Installed it with
I'm now running the 3.14 rc7 build from there.
However, it'll be difficult to tell if this is fixed or not; I've only
encountered it once in a couple of weeks' solid use of Chrome.
