log, before the actual crash, and one of them is in hid_magicmouse,
always at the same location.

That driver allows using the GPU for video encoding/decoding, which
reduces the load on the cpu during those activities, and thus, the heat
it generates. A heavy load will still cause it to overheat because the
real bug is that the bios does not speed up the fan correctly when it
does get too hot.

However, there is a side effect. Connecting and Disconnecting the
Power resets the brightness to maximum. Not sure how to go about

It's hard to reproduce this bug, thus I am not sure whether this would
help. I will keep monitoring for a while whether it occurs again, and if
not, close the bug. Otherwise I will do the tests you recommended.

Bios update did not improve the behaviour.
But I finally upgrade kernels to 3.8 (after a complete backup) and no
more freeze since this upgrade (http://askubuntu.com/questions/119080
/how-to-update-kernel-to-the-latest-mainline-version-without-any-distro-
upgrade/142000#142000).
