I tried to boot other Linux distros like Fedora, Mageia, Debian. All of these
was running from USB in Live enviroment and yes, they crashed too. Again- black
display. Next i tried boot Saucy from DVD ( maybe something bad with USB port

Finally got to update my BIOS per comment 50 & 51.
I am not able to boot the machine in EFI with any flavor of Ubuntu back
to 12.04, up to and including yesterday's (9/6/2013) build of Saucy.
With BIOS set to Legacy I AM able to boot the machine into any flavor of
Ubuntu up to and including

I have the same problem in my system (Ubuntu 13.10 daily 9-7-2013), but
only in Xmir (in glxgears approx. 300 fps). Almost all native demos work
perfectly except eglplasma demo (approx. 300 fps).

I opened with firefox the page "epanastasi-gr.blogspot.com"having on hold the
"application finder" with the ubuntu-bug linux ,commande because otherwise when
i am blocked i am not able to open not even the "application finder",so when i

Christopher, my bios does not allow disabling AMD graphis, the best I
can do is disable PEG (I guess PCIexpress graphics), which probably did

This is interesting - the date of the file at MSI download page is
2013-04-19. Entering my BIOS setup it shows the same info as dmicode.
I don't recall the date of the BIOS I upgraded, sorry.

Just noticed in summary

I am unable to boot the system even if acpi=off and "quiet splash" is
deleted from grub.
As soon as I hit F10 from the edit screen to continue with boot the
screen goes blank and all USB stick act
That is to say unable to boot in EFI only. Legacy all works great all
versions.
