I've moved this bug to the udftools project, as I suspect it may be an
issue with that package interacting with apparmor, based on the lines
you sent in your most recent message:

I update packages as soon as they are available. So I would guess yes.
I tried formatting a DVD under windows (but not putting any files on it)
Here is what I saw in my logs when replugging USB drive under ubuntu (24.10)
