Just installed the latest kernel so far: 5.19.0-28. Immediately I tried
installing nVidia 5.25. Although this reported an error and reported it
could not be installed. Unfortunately I didn´t make a note so I cannot
tell what error that was. When I wanted to try again later, it appeared

Yeah I used the wrong term. It solved my issue about needing to get work
done ;). Definitely not solved as I want to use the latest nvidia
drivers too.
My guess is there's older nvidia modules (520?) in the linux-modules
package, and then initramfs adds the new ones (525) causing some issues,
also
@Russ W: Downgrading to nvidia-driver-515 avoids this issue or works
around it, but doesn´t solve it. One should be able to install nvidia-
driver=525 as with previous kernels I think.
The latest kernel I installed this weekend (5.15.0.58) also has the same
issue.
Operating System: Linux Mint 21.
Downgrading to nvidia-driver-515 solved this issue for me.

I am experiencing the same thing with 5.15.0-57 and now 5.15.0-58. I
also installed nvidia 525.
My boot error gives the same out of memory error and then the kernel
panic says
