Can you open a terminal, and run 'top'. This will show which processes
are using the processor most. Could you tell us what you see?

The issue arose after updating to the lastest updates just before posting
this bug: October 10th, 2018.
Unfortunately, I'm not by a computer now and don't know what kernel I was
on just before the bug happened.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
