I was able to test this on an Ubuntu Server 14.04 and the problem is
gone, so thank you so much, however there are some things which don't
work on this server but I guess I'll report a new bug.

development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from

Usually, it is possible that it can be communicated with different USB
devices independently at the same time. This looks like some USB stack
problem, in the kernel or in libusb.
What happens here is that data is streamed to a first printer (the
