Hello Joseph, I've installed the latest kernel (4.6.0-040600rc7-generic). The situation was same I've got a same kernel message: "Audigy2 value: Special config." I've able to get stereo output from the card by enabling a mysterious "Audigy A" switch in the alamixer. The tone control works too.
