I tried out the hardware on another monitor and it appears that stereo PCM
audio over HDMI works fine. What appears to be broken is surround sound and
bitstream audio over HDMI. This only occurs in Linux/Ubuntu 22.04. In windows

After checking for a couple of hours, plugging and unplugging both power, hub,
and USBs/HDMI in the hub, it seems to all work perfectly with that 0-21 version
of the Kernel!!!

Cheese says that there is no video cam. The same webcam (connected
through USB 3) does work in Skype.

Lately I not longer have noticed to lose the Internet connection; But if
I unplug the ethernet cable and plug it again, then the Internet
connection is not longer detected and only restarting the PC makes the
connection to work again.

I don't know which kernel version I did use in Xenial (initially I used
the normal one, the kernel installed by default, but then I installed
UKUU so couldn't remember, but I never had this problem with previous
versions of Kubuntu nor any other flavor of Ubuntu nor in any Linux
distro, for the cas

In case it helps, I've seen comments regarding some TVs encoding the
aspect ratio (16/9 or 16/10) as though it was the size:
