After clean install of Ubuntu 15.04 it could be confirmed that problem
continues to be present.
After switching to upstream kernel 4.0.9-040009-generic #201507212131
problem has not been seen for a few weeks.

I have tested the following kernels:
4.1.0-040100rc2-generic
4.0.7-040007-generic
3.19.8-031908-generic
While I managed to boot the system (Lenovo t450s), for none of these
cases WLAN worked. Furthermore, problems with building the kernels had
