I updated the kernel according to your instructions and it seems to have
fixed the problem. I now have a functionnal touchpad after boot. Thank
you so much!

I successfully updated the bios but the bug is still there. I cannot use
my touchpad at all.
The output of the command "sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s
bios-release-date" is:
