Hi Christopher,
This is getting way over my head here. I have perused all options in
system setup, BIOS setup, but can't find any way to put the sound card
in I2S mode. Sorry!

I'm on F25 too and tried to revert to the standard grub-config. This
kills my sound, so I restored the reconfigured grub, and can confirm

Have you tried setting the correct setting in alsamixer (Fn F6)? That

I like that too!
Not necessarily all of your grub, as it may contain references to drives and
other stuff you probably want to keep private. But the relevant driectives
would be nice, as I am most certainly not familiar with all of the acpi stuff

Just got in a Spectre X360 i7 today and installed 15.04 alongside W8.1.
Got a BIOS-update whic I applied while still messing in W8. One heck of
a machine, but the sound still doesn't work... I'm far from a dev, but
if there's anything I could do to help get this fixed please let me
know.

Just instelled the nightly on a compaq mini 110c-1100sd and this happens
in the installed version. The curious thing is that it did work in the
live-usb. Additionally i tried the lubuntu trusty beta2 and the bug was
in there too
