with Ubuntu 12.04.1 (Precise), this was quite OK (only no sound, on this very new hardware) Same with LiveDVD with Ubuntu 12.4.5 (Precise, the latest), this behaved same as the 14.4.1 LiveDVD So the bug entered somewher between Ubuntu 12.04.1 and 12.04.5 Hope this helps, adding 50% to the people
