installed linux-image-3.9.0-030900rc8-generic as requested and had
problems and lost wifi alltogether, after some trial and test I removed
the image and went about reconnecting the wireless driver for the
broadcom and blacklisted B43 in blacklist.conf and the wifi now workd
but the on lamp for wif

updated the bios but no change, still fails looses ip adress shows no
inet adress . powering off the wifi and on again has no effect but
deselecting wifi and reconecting restores the connection.

Wifi ocassonaly drops out and unable to reconnect after long periods of
inactivity, local wifi dissapears and unable to resolve the connection (the
list of available connections does not include my normal site, wifi is active
on other devices) I have had to reboot to resol
wifi looses connection after sometime (hours) and cannot see home connection at
all although the table is populated with other services was unable to reconnect
untill I rebooted.
using emachine netbook upgraded to ubuntu13, was ok on previous releases.
