[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1471969] [NEW] System freezing after install of latest kernel a few days ago

Public bug reported: My system is locking up, while using Mozilla FireFox, after installing latest version of Mint 17 kernel. I can use Ctrl-Alt-Bsp to kill the instance of FF, but this re-occurs now every time I start to use FF. Could this be a problem with kernel handling of Nvidia graphics?
