There's a slight problem when the fixed kernel was only pushed to jammy-
updates and not jammy-security as AFAIK unattended-upgrades will only
pick up things from the security repo so if the broken kernel was
already installed on a system it won't self heal from it until a new
kernel is pushed ther
I enabled the proposed2 PPA as archive.ubuntu.com proposed hadn't
updated yet and have these kernels currently installed:

amd64Signed kernel image generic
ii linux-image-5.15.0-128-generic 5.15.0-128.138
Same problem with an ASUS PCE-AC68 (chipset BCM4360 [14e4:43a0] (rev 03)) on
Kubuntu 20.04. I can not connect to my 5Ghz network.
If I type I get this output:

Public bug reported:
Attempting to create an XFS file system crashed the kernel - I saw a
kernel stack trace on the screen, and had to power cycle the machine
after that. I was able to create the file system with one of the 5.x
kernels and then use it no problem with Bionic, but switching to the 5
been
working okay since then.

Hi, I've got the same problem like Paul. Ubuntu 14.04.1 32-bit, laptop with ATI
4379 Serial ATA Controller (designed by Silicon Image) and a SanDisk SSD.
I already inserted a SiI3512A in a Desktop-PC with the same results, HDD works
fine, SSD can't be accessed in any way.
