I have two external displays chained via Display port connected to the
ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock.
They are working with kernel 5.8.0-63 but not with the new 5.11.0-25
kernel.
I could reproduce this behavior several times for both kernels, as
follows: I booted up with disco
I was experiencing the same issue with a ThinkPad 25 (which is almost
the same thing as T470) and I implemented these precautions as a
workaround:
- disable DPMS when docked and external monitors enabled
- never switch VTs with external monitors enabled
- always disable external monitors before su
I've been running with the updated kernel for approx 24 hours now and
everything seems fine again.

I have similar issues with 4.4.0-77-generic, except that after the
update no hardware is recognized at all. Ubuntu doesn't see my monitors,
wired network card, etc. While booting with 4.4.0-75-generic has no such
problems.

It turns out this is not a BlueZ problem, it is the implementation of
BlueZ within Ubuntu Touch. I have now successfully connected two
"bluetooth v4 smart" devices in Ubuntu Touch by using bluetoothctl, but
none of them show as connected in the system settings.

Interestingly I managed to pair the Designer Mouse through bluetoothctl
in the terminal. It is still not recognized by the bluetooth system
settings though, which shows only my connected keyboard!!
My trick seems to survive a reboot, but I have to turn bluetooth off and

Is it the fact that these bluetooth devices are "bluetooth smart" or BLE
enabled that is the problem? If so, in what way and is it something we
can expect to be fixed in future versions of Bluez?

this bug appears randomly. i dont know what triggers this bug or to
witch packet it belongs. when i get this error, everythin freezes, only
mouse is moving. im using GNOME Shell 3.10.4. dmesg shows:

Tested a couple of times with both "3.14.0-031400rc6-generic" and
"3.14.0-031400rc6-lowlatency". Nothing improved. The download speed
stays at 0.05 Mbps - 0.36 Mbps range while the upload speed remains
consistently at 1.58 Mbps.

I have tested the wakeup problem again using integrated graphics and no
issue appears in this case, so this bug is related to the dual card
configuration Intel/Nvidia, maybe the prime package. Probably wakeup was
always fine using integrated graphics and it appears for me after
configuring NVidia p
