hics come up after I switch to vt1 (Ctrl-Alt-F1)
for a while and then back (Alt-F7). I didn't try more than once,
displays just came up.
I've also noticed that -78 worked fine if I rebooted from -72 without
powering the machine off.
Does this trick work for anybody else?
Cheers

Confirming the same issue - 4.4.0-72 works on Dell E7470 with intel, 4.4.0-77
doesn't.
Seems like a kernel bug.
xrandr showing screens but displays fall into sleep whatever I try.
plymouth not affected, only X.
