Some more info.
I tried the kernel 4.14.8 and nothing has changed.
By using wavemon i saw an instability of the signal. this occours when I
download big files, otherwise when the interface is in idle (low data rate or
nothign) the signal is stable.

Linux v4.17 gave me the same identical issue. I could not easily post
here at the time because of the AppArmor bug.
Now I reinstalled (x)ubuntu 17.10 on my laptop, and after I upgraded
Linux to the v4.15-rc3 from the mainline, the trackpad works perfectly.

Thanks for the answer.
The issue is happening on a fresh installation. Upgrades didn't help. It
happens also with the live CD.
The strange thing is that for a few seconds (less than 10) the touchpad
works perfectly, then it stops working.

Simply the touchpad doosn't work.
Sometimes i can use it for a few seconds when the OS is just turned on and then
it stops. I tried to activate it using the hotkey, but unsuccessfully.
I can use instead my USB mouse, that works perfectly.
