I too experienced this after rebooting with the 5.15.0-53-generic update
on 22.04.1 desktop. After the UEFI/BIOS loads, the system goes to a
black screen. Wasn't even able to bring up a shell, I had to enter
recovery mode to get back on 5.15.0-52.
