Be aware that adding things that you don't understand can have unwanted
results... For exemple, "power_save=0" prevents your wifi card to enter
power saving mode, and could reduce your battery autonomy...
In my case (on Linux Mint 17.3), simply adding the "bt_coex_active=0"
parameter in /etc/modpr
I found a setting in the BIOS, named "touchpad". It was set to
"Advanced". If I set it to "Basic", the touchpad works. I think it may
prevent the advanced features (like zooming with two fingers) to work,
but since they never worked for me on Linux, I don't know...

On a Packard Bell EasyNote ENTG71BM, the ETPS/2 Elantech touchpad is not
recognized at all, even in /proc/bus/input/devices.
On 14.04, it was recognized as PS/2, and I fixed that with a patch (see bug
#1166442).
