Hi
I did as you said: simply sudo apt-get install nvidia-331
I didn't loose the desktop but the "Additional Drivers" is missing.
However it seems that the driver was installed well!
I am attaching all the logs.
What command can I run to check that NVIDIA is properly installed and working?

The actual configuration of my computer is:
1. Fresh install of Ubuntu
2. Upgrade Ubuntu
That's the state of all the logs I attached.

I have the same problem:
1. Install Ubuntu 14.04.1 Fresh
2. No additional driver
3. Upgrade
4. Still No additional driver
What should I do?
Thanks
