Hmm, I feel it is probable that the i915 error and OpenGL freezes are two separate issues. I tested with various kernels, and these are the results: GL bug: 3.13 KO 3.19 KO 4.2 KO 4.3 KO 4.4 KO 4.5 KO i915 bug: 4.2 KO 4.3 OK 4.4 OK So it seems 4.3 kernel has fixed the i915 issue, but the GL free
