I'm having the same problem: On, a Thinkpad T470: Booted 5.0.0-32 (Stock Ubuntu 19.04). After several days, mouse (both touchpad and trackpoint) stopped moving. External USB mouse works. Rebooted into 5.0.0-31, now it works again, so it seems to be an issue with the kernel...
