Try creating the file audio_powersave.conf in /etc/modprobe.d/ and add
"options snd_hda_intel power_save=0" to this file (without quotation).
This fixed this issue for me.

Yes. I used the computer most of the day yesterday and didn't see any
"lost arbitration" or "transfer terminated early" messages. But today,
when the system booted, the touchpad did not work. Even running "sudo
rmmod i2c-hid && sudo modprobe i2c-hid" the touchpad did not work.

Some error messages have gone away, but the left button is still bugged.
I found that setting the mouse click emulation to fingers in Gnome
Tweaks make the bug imperceptible, so that's what I'm going to do now.

i2c-HTIX5288:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete
When the system boots everything works fine. After a few time, the context menu
open as if I had right-clicked and the left button starts to act like the right
button. When it occurs, there is some messages in dmesg like:
i2c_designware i2c_designware.7: i2c_dw_handle_tx_abort: lost arbitration
I noticed that the problem occurs more often when on the battery. When
connected to power, the problem occurs less frequently.

I tested the kernel. There are still some error messages in dmesg, but
the buttons are working normally. Also the touchpad is now recognized as
a touchpad and as a mouse.
