I pinned the .55 package on my clusters and spread the news to my
clients. But this could really mess up a lot of on prem clusters where
folks upgrade selfhosted servers regularly.

After upgrading to linux-image-6.8.0-56-generic my RKE2 based kubernetes
cluster on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS started having some problems. The
kubeproxy pods started crashlooping with an error that said
"Failed to execute iptables-restore"

I listed all installed Linux kernel packages (dpkg -l | grep
"linux\-[a-z]*\-") and kept only the 6.2.0-26 versions. Then I removed
unused packages (sudo apt autoremove) and afterwards reinstalled
6.2.0-32 (sudo apt install linux-image-6.2.0-32-generic linu

After the update from kernel 6.2.0-26 to 6.2.0-32 under Ubuntu 22.04
LTS, there are no more sound cards found. I can reliably reproduce this
