Indeed I noticed that on amd+mac (digikam runs ok), the packages are
phonon-backend-gstreamer1.0:amd64 and phonon-backend-gstreamer1.0-common:amd64
So, I installed phonon-backend-gstreamer1.

in fact, the problem still exists and it seems to be related in some way to how
long the computer stays suspended.
Indeed, after being suspended for a day, the computer wasn't able to resume
while it works after being suspended a few minutes.

I did suspend then resume by opening the lid.
tested also suspend then wake up by hitting keys on the keyboard
