In between I strengthen the cooling, so mainboard is not alarming any
more in such situations but I still get this issue, a not reacting
system with CPU's at 100%.
I guess the main info got lost now in time:
I can't force this error!
It can take even weeks without it, but some times I get it and
Hello again,
have now installed the lastest upstream, but got a dumb issue:
This is a media PC and the error is only appearing sometimes, could even be
weeks!
As this PC does need the proprietary NVIDIA module for accelerated playback
(nouveau is far too slow!!), it is now an Henn and Egg issue.
This one?
v4.1-rc2-vivid/
Can I really try v4, or should I go for a 3.2 variant?

I can just guess, because I came home and the system was freezed with a
beeping motherboard because of overheat :(
After reset, I had the posted memory dump in the logs, so that's why I
am assuming that the overheating is caused by the IRQPoll/USB problem.

Hello Joseph,
I had this in average every five weeks. I guess it has something to do with
USB, but I am not sure.
I would retest it with another kernel if I would have a clue how to force it?
Else I can't be sure, if another kernel did work?
regards
