it has turned out that the problem persists even with the older versions of linux-firmware (1.157.11 and 1.157.10) - i tried with them today what i did was: sudo dpkg -i linux-firmware_1.157.11_all.deb sudo reboot and nothing changed then: sudo apt-get remove linux-firmware sudo apt-get install
