Per my comments on the other bug report, this appears to be fixed
upstream. I did not use the absolute latest kernel, rather the latest
that was tagged for 14.10.

I believe that this issue is also affecting me. I've uploaded error
reports via the error reporter, but I'm unsure how to associate them
with this bug report.
I have followed the directions to use a newer mainline kernel and it
*seems* to have resolved the issue for me. What are the issues with
