That kernel doesn't have the bug. No significant difference between the 8 GB vs 16 GB case. On my machine with kernels that experience the bug, reading package lists can go into the double digits on kernels that experience the bug. # uname -a Linux mediaserver 3.2.0-030200-generic #201311141219 S
