The fix 4.14.9 not working for DELL Inspiron 5551 , I also removed 17.10 and
installed 16.04 from CD , USB still can't boot , and the same , no change
if no way to fix it for all laptops , i will try to send the machine for DELL
warranty

the upgrade steep gave option to follow
sudo apt-get --fix-broken install
after I did I made reboo

I made
sudo apt --fix-broken install
then
sudo apt --fix-broken install
then
sudo apt-get upgrade
the error message disappeared before the upgrade complete , then i went to
Ubuntu software centre and removed the old version of program and all done.
