issue I haven't dealt with yet.

No idea folks -- the system gave an error during a semi-automatic
upgrade (this system doesn't support LivePatch for some reason) -- I'm

Original Elpida (brand) RAM reported as DDR2, is DDR3. Replaced with
Crucial (brand), also reported as DDR2. Unfortunately had to use two of
the original modules as motherboard/BIOS would not boot:
Original: three 1 GB Elpida modules: slots 1, 2, 3.
Attempted: four Crucial 2 GB modules: slots 1
Hello, also confirming this issue on a Asus UX305
dmidecode -s bios-version
UX305FA.206
Unable to adjust brightness at all, using both the function keys and the
settings application.
