I have tested the one i found and the result was bad.

(raring and quantal), how can i merge the two trees?

In the Maverick example the good and the bad kernel versions are located

First i get the the quantal tree with the command
$ git clone git://kernel.ubuntu.com/archive-ubuntu/ubuntu-quantal.git
Now i have a local repository "ubuntu-quantal"
