I can confirm that pavucontrol shows moving sounds bars with an Output
Device called "Headphones (unplugged)" and that the Configuration shows
"High Fidelity (A2DP Sink) Unplugged" and "High Fidelity Capture (A2DP
Source)". There is no sound however.
➜ ~ uname -a
Linux V 4.15.0-34-generic #37-Ubu
FYI: RHEL 7.3 does not suffer from this problem and appears to have
ballooning enabled:
$ grep CONFIG_XEN_BALLOON /boot/config-3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64
CONFIG_XEN_BALLOON=y
# CONFIG_XEN_BALLOON_MEMORY_HOTPLUG is not set
$ uname -a
Linux cassandra-a-2 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Oct 19 11:24:13
FYI - it doesn't occur on RHEL 7.3 nor Amazon Linux.
