MUTTER_DEBUG_KMS_THREAD_TYPE=user workaround, after upgrading to get
this fix I can no longer use the laptop. It prints "[ OK ] Starting
gdm.service" during boot and then hangs. No GUI comes up. I can get into

Additional data point: When the lose-all-apps event occurs (close
lid/open lid cycle) all GNOME extensions are disabled. If I go into the
"extensions" app the big "all extensions" switch is off.

Two additional tests I did:
- I installed systemd-coredump and repeated the journald test. I did NOT
see any message that a process had dumped core during the sleep/wake
cycle.
- Not exactly an intentional test but I discovered I don't have to
hibernate / close-lid the laptop to get the bad behav

lid to immediately after opening it.

Hi I am also affected by this. I have kernel 6.1.4 under Jammy and my
Wifi card is a RLT8852BE. I installed the amd64 build from the deb
package, but Wifi still isn't working. Not sure if I have to do anything
beyond rebooting. "find /lib/modules/$(uname -r) | grep 8852" returns a

I'm also affected from this issue and tried your suggested kernel parameters on
5.3.0-22:
- mitigations=off
- dis_ucode_ldr
- mitigations=off dis_ucode_ldr
but nothing booted
I also tried 5.3.0-23/5.3.0-24 with no success.
And yes, I use full disk encryption with LUKS + LVM.
Any other
after regular update through `update-manager` booting on my T450s is
working again.
