It's important to remember desktops are the main issue here. I don't
think it's a big ask that if you have a machine with an Nvidia card then
we require $gigabytes of disk space to be reserved. Alternatively we can
just inhibit suspend in the case that insufficient space is available
just-in-time.
Also, I am having trouble reproducing the problem. Any chance that you can help
make a testcase?
I made a 5G disk, made a PV, VG and LV, and then made a btrfs filesystem. But
I could never get the udev trigger to actually occur to rename the device
links.
Any ideas?

same drives (Samsung SSD 990 PRO with Heatsink 1TB, firmware 4B2QJXD7).

That's because you're using an unsupported kernel (presumably from
Ubuntu mainline). Eventually, the 6.14 kernel will be available in
Ubuntu 24.04 and broadcom-sta will need the same patches used in Ubuntu
25.04, so I'll leave this open, but note that you're using an
unsupported combination of kern

Can i also add this also affects the Dell Inc. XPS 16 9640.
I think this issue affects all the Dell XPS lineups as they use the same camera
for the lineups.
Also Bump will this issue be merged into noble 24.04 LTS and maybe
plucky too?

The built-in displays stay blank but the backlight is visible until I
