Plymouth never displays anything -- the boot process is a plain black
screen.
Workaround:
Tap Esc once to see text mode.
Tap Esc a second time to get the Plymouth graphical screen.
I only figured that out when I had been waiting too long for the disk
decryption prompt.

It sounds like the same issue as this. Next time it happens, try
running:
grep . /sys/class/drm/*/modes
to see what modes are available from the kernel.
It's also suspicious that only Ubuntu 20.04 has been mentioned which
makes me think this might have been fixed in later releases already.

With 5.19.9000-37-generic, the audio is back on my RX580 DisplayPort
too.
No audio problem with 60Hz refresh rate, but my screen resolution is

I tested on my Dell 5570 using the 5.19 kernel that Dilyn hacked into place on
a Dell 5570.
I also tested using the normal ubuntu Core 5.15 kernel.
With the 5.15 kernel the bluetooth advanced features did not work.
With the 5.19 kernel from Dilyn, the bluetooth advanced features do work.
