This bug is closed for Ubuntu 22.10 and later so please log your own new
bugs unless you're using 22.04.
P.S. i915.enable_psr=0 is a common solution to flickering but if it
works for you then that is LAPTOP MODEL SPECIFIC and we need you to log
a bug mentioning the model details of the laptop.

Patch to expose type attributes
I've given fixing this a shot. I've made every exported firmware
attribute a "string". If this is not desired the fix will definitely be
more involved.

I'm having this issue as well with my HP Envy x360 15-ey0013DX. I found
this on the Manjaro forums: https://forum.manjaro.org/t/hp-
envy-x360-15-ey0013dx-speakers-not-working/125099
It looks like a Kernel patch may have been created to fix this?

I have the same problem with a T580 connected to the Lenovo Ultra Dock (40aj).
When I boot without the dock on battery or with the power supply connected, it
works with 5.19.0-23-generic without problems. If the login screen is there, I
can also use the dock without problems.
