With test break down into small pieces, and tested with their own
timeout setting for each test, this issue does not exist anymore.

Lenovo G500 Intel i3 Laptop keyboard and touchpad not working after installing

It works fine in the Live USB but after installing the OS, the keyboard and
touchpad stops working.
The laptop has Synaptic Touchpad I believe.
