4.4.0.202-generic today and it broke my system.

This still seems to be happening on 5.8. Different board yet again, but
same situation. Crashes every 1/X times when resetting the board. I
don't have logs of the actual crash (ZFS root maybe?), but it locks up
right after the "failed to set dtr/rts" like the others reported here,
with similar logs
